Kurta the new Tee in India

Many collections at the event derived inspiration from khakis, Nehru shirts and kurtas. Aquascutum's collection, for one, had jackets and coats in Indian batik prints.

"Neil Barrett also took a trip abroad showing a variety of ? trench coats along with dhurrie-style pants (dhurrie is a coarse cotton or wool rug woven in India and .

Raj-inspired prints in shirts and pants," reported the New York Times.

Versace made models strut in white kurtas, Nehru jackets and shirts and noticeable Indian tie and dye style silk tunics. There was an extensive use of Ambi prints throughout the Etro collection.
